Opening Shot Introduction
Join us for an exciting FREE introduction to Opening Shot, a brand-new short film production initiative from Astar Media, Highland Cinema and Screen Scotland, open to anyone in the Lochaber region above school-leaving age, who is not currently in formal education. Opening Shot aims to discover and empower new voices in Scottish film – from complete beginners to self-taught creatives – helping them bring their stories to life. People of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, particularly those who may not have had access to film opportunities before. At this introduction and information session, Programme Director Alison Piper will introduce the Opening Shot programme, explore what makes a strong short film idea, and explain how you can apply to take part. You’ll also enjoy a screening of inspiring Scottish short films - the perfect spark to get your creativity flowing and your ideas onto the page! While this session is free, booking is essential to guarantee your place.
