Fireproof
<div>A special screening of <i>Fireproof</i>, a visceral battlefield documentary made by soldiers of Ukraine’s 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade (24MB), capturing in graphic detail the harrowing experiences of frontline soldiers defending the city of Chasiv Yar.</div><div><br></div><div>Situated 460 metres above sea level, Chasiv Yar commands the surrounding high ground, making it a strategically important position from which the battlefield can be observed. Its loss would give Russian forces access to major routes west, threatening Ukraine’s secondary defensive lines. When Russian forces sought to capture the city in May 2024, the 24MB repelled the offensive and has continued to defend the strategic position.</div><div><br></div><div>All proceeds from this special screening will go to Pickups for Peace (P4P), a Scottish registered Charity that has delivered more than 900 vehicles to Ukraine in 30 convoys to date. According to the Ukrainian military, each vehicle has helped save at least 10 lives through timely medical evacuations.</div><div><br></div><div>This screening (90 mins) will include a brief introduction and short Q&A with Archie Gibson of Pickups for Peace, and Angus MacDonald, MP for Inverness, Skye, West Ross-shire and North Lochaber.</div><div><br></div><div>For more information about Pickups For Peace, or to make a donation, visit <i><a href="https://">www.pickupsforpeace.co.uk</a></i></div><div><br></div><div>Film: 65 mins; Discussion: 20 mins.</div>DocumentaryPT1H25M18UAFireproof"Fireproof"Showtimes
