A special Film Club showing of the sweeping 1962 historical adventure epic, 'Lawrence Of Arabia’, starring Peter O’Toole and Alec Guinness. Considered by many to be one of the greatest films ever made. The story of British officer T.E. Lawrence's mission to aid the Arab tribes in their revolt against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War. Lawrence becomes a flamboyant, messianic figure in the cause of Arab unity, but his psychological instability threatens to undermine his achievements. This lovingly digitally restored version of the film will be screened in its original format, with an overture, intermission and exit music.
